Who Is Gefn?

In old Norse lore, Gefn is an ancient and mysterious goddess of abundance, gift-giving, and fertility, often tied closely to Freyja. Her name literally means “the giver.” She represents generosity, receiving what you are owed, and the flow of wealth, luck, and harvest coming back around to those who put in the work.

The Brew

I don’t do mass-produced. To make a set of runes that actually speaks, you need the right ingredients. For the Gefn set, I had to walk out into the early morning fields while the frost was still heavy on the ground, gathering the first true blessings of the land:

• The Plum (Pink): A rich, blossoming shade of pink pulled straight from the heart of the first spring petals pushing up through the cold earth.

• The White Splash: A streak of pure, creamy milk-white swirled in to capture the rich bounty and offering of the harvest.

• The Anchor (Black): Heavy, fertile topsoil scraped from deep beneath the roots of the world tree. I ground it down to a fine powder to outline the old ᚠᚢᚦᚨᚱᚲ (Futhark) symbols, locking all that earth-blessing and giving power safely inside the resin.
