Who Was Dagny?

In old Norse tradition, Dagny is a classic name carrying the fierce and hopeful meaning of “new day” or “dawn.” Associated with the first brilliant streak of light breaking over the horizon, she represents fresh beginnings, waking strength, and the unstoppable momentum of morning overcoming the longest night.

The Brew

I don’t do mass-produced. To make a set of runes that actually speaks, you need the right ingredients. For the Dagny set, I had to watch the horizon break across the frost-covered meadows just as the sun started to drag the world out of the dark:

• The Dandelion (Yellow): A flurry of wild, sun-drenched yellow petals gathered from the first stubborn blossoms pushing their way through cold morning soil.

• The Espresso (Brown): Rich, dark earth roasted by the early morning heat, bringing a deep, grounded warmth that anchors the bright daylight.

• The Alchemy (Yellow Pearl): Shimmering, golden pearl dust that catches the first direct rays of sunrise, giving the resin a glowing, transcendent shift as the light moves across it.

• The Anchor (Black): Heavy, midnight shadow scraped from the fading edge of the retreating night. I ground it down to a fine powder to outline the ancient ᚠᚢᚦᚨᚱᚲ (Futhark) symbols, locking all that bright, dawn-born magic safely inside the resin.
